The planning application for West Cumbria Mining’s Woodhouse Colliery has now been validated, and has been allocated the reference number 4/17/9007. If you would like to support or raise any concerns about the Project, it is important that you do so by 10th July 2017 for your opinion to be considered by Cumbria County Council.
Today the County Council are hand-delivering neighbour notifications as well as posting site notices in local parish noticeboards as well as attaching signs to Marchon fence/gates, and at fences/gates along footpaths adjacent to the Marchon and Pow Beck areas.
Below are a number of ways in which people can give comment on the planning application.

The deadline for comments is 10 July 2017.
A full copy of the planning application will be available to view on the Cumbria County Council planning site www.cumbria.gov.uk, or at Copeland Borough Council’s offices, Market Hall, Market Place, Whitehaven CA28 7JG (during normal office hours) or at Whitehaven Library, Lowther Street, Whitehaven CA28 7QZ (during normal working hours). You can also view them during normal working hours at the WCM Haig offices or at the WCM public update events to be held on 23rd, 24th, 25th June (10am-4pm) at the Haig offices. A full copy of the planning documents can also be obtained on a memory stick or CD from the WCM Haig office for £5.
