West Cumbria Mining is pleased to announce that Julie Rayson has joined the team this week as Office Manager.

Julie, who will be based at the Woodhouse Colliery project office at the former Haig Mining Museum, is from Whitehaven and has spent her career spanning over 35 years working for several local organisations and businesses in various Finance and Administration roles, most recently as Office Manager for a local specialist drilling company.

In 2018, Julie was named Copeland Person of the Year in the Community Hero Awards in recognition of her commitment to the local community.

Commenting, Helen Davies, Head of Communications for West Cumbria Mining said: “We are delighted to welcome Julie to WCM. Her skills and experience, together with her knowledge of Whitehaven, the surrounding areas and local community will be a great asset to the team as we move forward with the development of our Woodhouse Colliery Project.”
