West Cumbria Mining’s Team

West Cumbria Mining is led by Mark Kirkbride who is a former underground coal mining engineer, with over 26 years’ experience in managing mining and civil projects. He heads up a team of geologists, mining engineers, environmental advisors and project managers as well as the business support staff, and sits on the West Cumbria Mining Board.

A key contributor to the mine’s success is having a strong team in place which comprises people who are as experienced as they are enthusiastic, with a number of those having spent time in and around mines themselves.
