The West Cumbria Mining team would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who have supported the Woodhouse Colliery project in the past, throughout the recent public inquiry and moving forwards.

This support has included local people, MPs, local government leaders, councillors, business leaders and many other interested local parties. This support has been, and remains, so important in reinforcing our commitment and determination to deliver the Woodhouse Colliery project for the benefit of West Cumbria and the UK. It would be the first ‘net zero’ metallurgical coal mine in the world and lead the industry through the transition to a net zero economy.

We now await the recommendation of the Planning Inspector and decision by the Secretary of State, which is not anticipated before 2022.

West Cumbria Mining remains fully committed to the successful delivery of the Woodhouse Colliery project and will provide further update via the website in the future.

Thanks to you all.
